| Description: | On May 12, 1986, New Jersey became the first state in the nation to pass legislation which protects volunteer athletic coaches, managers, and officials from lawsuits. Commonly referred to as the "Little League Law" (2A:62A-6 et. seq.), this legislation extends partial civil immunity to volunteers who have attended a "safety orientation and training skills program."
The Clinic is based upon the Minimum Standards for Volunteer Coaches' Safety Orientation and Training Skills Programs (N.J.A.C. 5:52) and includes:
* Legal Aspects of Coaching
* Psychological Aspects of Coaching
* General Coaching Concepts
* Training and Conditioning Athletes
* Medical/First Aid Aspects of Coaching
All volunteers who have applied for head coach or assistant coach positions, as well as any interested parents who plan on helping at practices at any time, as well as those who think they may wish to coach in the future, are encouraged to attend. The clinic is held in conjunction with baseball, so please be sure to sign in on the proper 'softball' sign-in sheet when you attend. At the end of the clinic you will be given a card signifying that you attended the clinic.

| Description: | Mount Laurel Girl's Softball members are privately invited to save an additional 15% ON TOP OF specific softball and baseball related coupons at Dick's Sporting Goods located at 1300 Nixon Drive in Mount Laurel, which is located across from Moorestown Mall between Home Depot and Best Buy, on Saturday March 10th between 10am and 2pm. This is a once in a season savings opportunity, and the savings can really add up. They will have coupons off of almost anything softball or baseball related, and in addition for this one day only our members will receive a coupon for an EXTRA 15% off on top of those coupons...and the 15% savings is good on anything in the store! This is not a fundraiser for our program, this is simply a tremendous savings opportunity for our members! We will be handing out the coupons prior to the event, but will also have a table at the front of the store with the coupons available for you at the store when you arrive. |
